Her skin was soft like silk. Her hair was long and the color of the sun. Her eyes stared into mine. It was like looking into a shadowy sea. Her lips were painted dark red and were parted ever so slightly. Her last breath took my breath away. It was a perfect gasp. I touched my gloved fingers to the stab wound over her heart. She was beautiful. I kissed her cheek and let my lips linger there for a moment just relishing the feel of the cold against my lips. I dragged myself away and reached into my duffle bag along side of the bed. I pulled out a gold diamond necklace and fastened it around her neck. The diamond laid on her bare chest very delicately. Goodbye, my sweet. I quickly got off the bed, picked up my duffle bag, climb out the window and down the fire escape. I walked along the quiet streets in the heavy fog. I breathed in the smell of the fresh morning dew. It's a beautiful morning. I walked along with skip in my step. I thought back to my sweet. That makes three now.
