In early August I started going to a Messianic Jewish congregation in Williamstown, NJ. It has honestly changed my life. Rabbi Emanuel Tarahocker, his wife, Claudia started this congregation six years ago and with the help of their three kids, Anthony, Ariana, and Adoniyah, they have an amazing worship team, beautiful services, and messages that will always leave you with deeper understand of things. You all know, I'm sure, that I have, since I was a little kid, suffered from extremely low self-esteem. I was never proud of myself, I thought I was ugly and fat, never good enough for anyone, but I would mask it all with a lot of energy and jokes. Since I started going to Beth Machaseh, everything has changed for me. The first day I went with my mom, Rabbi was talking about having respect for yourself and not allowing others to think poorly of you. Sure, this is something we should already know but the way he spoke about this subject, I had never heard before and my mind was blown. Now, I have so much more respect and love for myself. I don't put myself down or direct a bunch of insults at me. My walk with God has also grown so much stronger and I can hear when He is speaking with me.
Everyone at Beth Machaseh makes you feel loved and welcomed. I have met so many amazing and strong people there. Some of them are my best friends now. When you go there, you feel like you are part of a family. When you walk through the doors, you can feel the power and love of God. If you are from South Jersey or even if you are a little bit further away, I highly recommend that you come to Beth Machaseh. I know you will be happy that you did. Shabbat services are Friday nights at 8pm and Saturday mornings at 11:30am. The address is 217 Prosser Ave, Williamstown, NJ 08094 Check out their Facebook page for pictures and videos from the congregation! https://www.facebook.com/BethMachaseh/ If you are not able to come to Beth Machaseh and meet with everyone there, please keep them in your daily prayers. ♥
